Norwich Union Travel Insurance Identify Holiday Hazard Locations
At a time when a lot of UK families are eager for their forthcoming holiday getaway Norwich Union has compiled a list of destinations most likely to cause problems. This list is based upon Norwich Union’s comprehensive claims database.
The particular report highlighted some old chestnuts but also exposed some less likely vacation spots. Mexico topped the list for claims right after sun over-exposure, whilst hawaii also found the highest spot for insect bites of food and stings.
The ugly face of criminal activity raises its venture in South Africa but both old Uk favorites, Spain and also the Canaries are both highlighted to be a risk for thievery and pick pocketing. Thailand had also been mention for thieves problems, but the file also advised unwary tourists should also be aware of abdomen problems, traffic accidents and lost belongings.
Norwich Union were as well quick to point out that a number of holidays go without the need of hitch and the aim of the report just isn’t to worry tourists, purely to make them aware. The european union appeared to offer, generally, the safest vacation spots, with Ireland pipping Belguim, Holland, Germany and France.
Norwich Union advise on the other hand that whilst the modern European Health Insurance Minute card (EHIC) covers many potential problems it won’t cover all costs and will not cover shelter or repatriation. An important position being that the biggest cause of problems when abroad is sudden medical emergencies.
